After two weeks of frigid temperatures, a few of us got in the sun and enjoyed a 70 degree day. This is rare in our neck of the woods in January. 70° usually doesn’t show up until April and sometimes May.
What a fun day!
So during those long winter months, my time outside is short but sweet, making sure the donkeys and chickens have what they need to stay warm and cozy. They always get special treats which they look forward to, plus it keeps me from being a complete shut-in during the winter. It’s not my favorite season but, it gives me time to work on cartooning, crafting and research hobbies.
Years ago I decided to turn my cartoons into plush sock characters. I saw the idea at one of the craft stores I visit quiet frequently. I usually purchase socks after different holiday seasons when I can get great discounts.
I used to participate in craft fairs, but since Covid the crowds just aren’t there, and the cost of the table space to participate has become unaffordable. Now I sell them on Facebook Yardsale where at least I get traffic and don’t have to pay an astronomical price. Christmas and Valentine’s Day are my busiest seasons.
If you see something you like just let me know and I also make special requests.
